Meet Our Team

Musical theatre, and music in general, is a very important part of my life. I've been involved in professional musical theatre my entire life, performing in seven shows at Philadelphia's oldest theater, the Walnut Street Theatre. From playing the part of Tam in Miss Saigon when I was five, to various roles in the annual Christmas Carol throughout the years, I've spent hundreds of hours surrounded by music. My most recent show, Disney's Moana Jr. at the Walnut Street Theatre last spring, allowed me to perform in front of dozens of schools. Seeing the young student's faces light up and hearing all of their questions was what most inspired me to start this club. I know from experience that music strengthens confidence, makes friends, and builds bridges.

I credit my motivation in my language studies to my love of music. Nothing can close a cultural divide better than music. During my time in Taiwan during the summer of 2023, the first way I would try to find a connection with locals my age was to ask what American music they liked. They were always excited to talk to me about famous stars like Drake or Taylor Swift and I was always excited to hear Taiwanese and Chinese artist recommendations from them.

I am excited and dedicated to helping spark a lifetime love of music that can branch into every aspect of life.

For as long as I can remember, music has been an unreplaceable part of my life. I started playing the trumpet when I was just 8 years old, and have continued to do so till this point. Throughout my life, I have performed in many All South Jersey Jazz and Classical bands. However, when Covid prevented me from continuing to do these bands, I redirected my focus to the Cherry Hill East Jazz Band, which I have now been apart of for 4 years. With the Jazz Band, I have won over 6 best section awards and 8 best overall band awards against schools from across the East Coast.

Apart from competitions, music has become apart of my everyday life. I use music to help cope with stress and relax before bed. I have been self teaching myself piano for over a year and have found incredible results from doing so. I see improvements in my creativity, concentration, overall happiness, and coordination as a result of learning an instrument for pure enjoyment. As a way of giving back and expressing gratitude for the gift of music my parents granted me when they first handed me an instrument, I co-founded Camden Connections.
